As much as I enjoy professional runway shows by lavish designers, nothing beats seeing style on the street. It is a constant reminder that someone can look good without a personal hair or make-up team at their side and it puts in perspective that not only the current, wallet breaking trends create style. From a five-inch heel to a destroyed high-top Chuck Taylor, people on the streets continuously drape themselves with a visual representation of how we may feel that day. Style on the street continues to flourish and as we live each day for the vogue inspiring us, the meaning of individuality and fashion in our world today continues to be embraced by all types of people all around the world. Besides, how much fun would it be if we all wore the same jeans and t-shirts? Rock the vintage leather jackets from your mom’s closet and if the lady behind you at the grocery store asks why the hell you are wearing lace pants, screw it. Mission accomplished.
