Cheers to Inspiration

Art of Fashion at The Timken Museum

Saturday night I was lucky enough to receive a very gracious invite to the Art of Fashion at the Timken Museum in Balboa Park. Among other media guests, I was able to preview the fine art of very successful fashion students and graduates. Their mission was to recreate a piece of art from the Museum and transform it into a magnificent dress that would closely resemble the actual painting. It was incredible to see these amazing Fashion Career College students/graduates interpret a painting the way they did and deliver it in a sense that seemed effortless. With a night full of meeting amazing new people, indulging in yummy food and creating memories that will last a life time, it leaves me only urging to explore more of this crazy lifestyle San Diego has in store for me.

Design by Ashley Tipton

Suzanne Lemasters' beautiful model in her stunning dress.

Infamous Zandra Rhodes.

Legendary designer who's amazing one of a kind, ultimate dress-up pieces have been seen on Princess of Whales, Elizabeth Taylor, Queen and Sarah Jessica Parker in "Sex and the City." Her vintage pieces have long been collected by Tom Ford and Anna Sui and have been worn by Kelly Osborne, Ashley Olsen, Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell.

This beautiful dress included articulate detail with a rich explosion of color and texture but it remained simple and classy. I was blown away by the gathering at the bottom and the elongated train that rain for what seemed miles behind the dress. I loved how the collar could be removed to transform the dress entirely leaving a plunging sweatheart neckline that allowed room for a simple necklace.

Most def my favorite dress of the night by Arturo Mendez. The gathering on the bottom was even more incredible in person and the dress seemed never ending.

Vintage bag from Paris that I absolutely adored.

Vintage seemed to be the trend of the night....Vintage Kimono Dress and Electric Blue Nails. HOT HOT HOT.

Shout out to the beautiful designer JESSIKA SERAFIN.
