Give your self the chance to enter a time capsule and get your hands on a one of a kind piece at my one of my favorite San Diego vintage stores, Frock You.  From a pill box hat to 1950's swim suit, Frock You is lined with racks and racks of vintage must haves that I love dressing myself up in. The 5 dollar shirt seen here, and 8 dollar pants seen later in this post are all frocking amazing and I couldn't resist when heading to their once a month blowout sale. The Friday - Sunday event is held in the back lot of the store, where you can find everything under the sun for under $20. Sadly, they don't give away the little secret of when it is up front, but head over to their website here, and sign up to receive their newsletter for an alert on the sale

Some are intimidated by the fact that stores such as these are lined with racks full of passed down and used clothing from over 30 years ago, but have you ever realized how special these pieces are and how modern they can truly be. We are reusing and revamping trends from along the years, but to have a piece of time, original time, is one of the coolest parts of vintage. I'm not the most avid fan of head to toe replication of a time period, but mixing contemporary and a throwback piece is a key to creating a timeless and trendy, yet elegant kind of look. I could have a hay day with the  accessories, and they are my staple purchase anytime I enter this jaunt through time. And would you look at that....vintage belt seen...here as well!

  1. Hi Demi,

Thank you for dropping by my blog! You have amazing style! The pants color and clutch combo is flawless, not to mention your outfit in your latest instagram post. Very jealous of your travels! :)

Thrift shopping has always been a challenge for me. I think it takes a certain amount of guts to bring back older trends and make them look stylish.
